Beaded Bracelet

Description: The bracelet is made with Swarovski crystals and pearls and seed beads. It is a Victorian inspired piece, delicate and elegant. Kit provided.

Beaded Button Dangle

This project is so quick and simple to make that you’ll want to make more for gifts! Best of all you can use those special buttons you have at home in your collection and enjoy them even more! Jill will show you how to make a beaded base and attach fringe and buttons to it. In addition, you will learn a little button history and tips for using your own stash of wonderful buttons. Kits for the project includes the “Button, Button” pattern, beads, findings and buttons needed to complete the dangle.

Brazilian Embroidery

Description: Learn this unique and fascinating style of embroidery using exquisite rayon threads produced especially for Brazilian Embroidery. Five basic stitches will be taught to get you embroidering the Brazilian way! Please bring a 3"-5" hoop and scissors.

Description: Learn to use pre-stitched "Cheeter Squares" in designing your quilting projects. Make a small (Approx 8") pin cushion, Mini-quilt or bag by hand or machine in class. Kit includes: pre-stitched square, borders, backing, batting and matching thread. Bring to class your basic sewing kit, a pair of sharp pointed scissors and let's have FUN.

Dizzy for Daisies” Trading Card

Description: So many silk ribbon daisies all made by machine! And such a variety of centers! There are French Knots, loopy loops and just plain fuzzies. Another boasts chubby petals with a classy beaded middle. All are fenced in by a silky green chain. No Handwork here! Susan Schrempf, author of Simple Silk Ribbon Embroidery by Machine, guides you in creating this floral artists’ card. Kit includes Pattern , 11” square of fabric, cardstock, assorted silk ribbon, prewound bobbin, beads and batting. You will need to bring 8” wooden embroidery hoop (please, no less than this size), small sharp embroidery scissors, monofilament (invisible) thread, Elmer’s type glue stick.

Dragonfly Caught in a Net Necklace

Description: This whimsical Dragonfly necklace is cute and fun to wear. Create several for friends and family. The dragonfly button is surrounded by a beaded bezel and finished off with crystals.  The spiral weaved necklace incorporates seed beads and crystals. The kit includes everything you will need to make this lovely creation including needles and thread. You will need to bring scissors, bead pad, and bead light with extension cord.

Embellished Felted Beads

Description: Visually create texture with two different mediums.  In this class you will learn how to embellish the beads you created in the morning class, Wool Felt Beads, using seed beads, flower beads, rondels, and crystals.  Learn how to string them together to make jewelry.  The kit includes the beads you will need plus thread and needles.  You will need to bring scissors, bead pad, and bead light with extension cord.

Hand Quilting

Description: Class will cover batting, backing, needles, marking, thimbles and stitches. Each student will be given a quilt block to quilt. During the class we will cover preparing the quilt for quilting, then we will practice quilting. Kit includes block, batting, backing, some thread and several needles. If the students have a small quilt frame, please bring the frame along with scissors and thimble.

Miniature Punch Needle

Needleturn Appliqué

String Quilting

Description: Kit: $5.00. This technique could tug at your heart strings. You will use up those narrow strips and trimmings of fabric from edge straightening or remnants from larger projects.  It is also a great take along project to do by hand when you are not going to be close to your sewing machine. Bring thread scissors with you.

Wool Felt Beads

Description: Learn to Make Wool Felt Beads! Felt beads are showing up all over the craft world! Used as fringe on quilts, stacked to create doll legs, or embellished and used for jewelry. Come learn how to turn flat wool fiber into felt beads and balls. No knitting skills required! If you can make dough balls with your hands, you can make felt! We’ll show you how inexpensive and fun these little gems are to make! Please bring an old towel.
